Repro App
Let’s re-consider the growth inhibitors and proposed measures
We organized the proposed measures and implementation events at the time of Repro's introduction, but user bottlenecks can change with small changes to the UI.
It is important to regularly discuss growth inhibitors and policy proposals in your team based on the analysis results.
In order to do this, master the brainstorming method of growth inhibitors and policy proposals, and let's get the whole team involved in app growth.
How to think about user growth steps and growth inhibitors
For more information, see Pondering a policy proposal.
How to work with multiple people
It is recommended that not only the person in charge of the policy brainstorming, but also other departments such as sales and marketing should be involved to make new discoveries.
Follow the steps below and think about the growth inhibitors and proposed measures by involving many people.
STEP 1: Decide which personas you want to review user steps
Keep in mind that your persona should be "a character setting that gives a realistic image of the person, including their name and face.
In addition to the basic profile (name, gender, age, occupation, and education)
You should also provide details about your background, living situation (hobbies, family structure of your current home, etc.), and the circumstances that preceded your decision to use the service.
You can also use references from actual users of your service, or provide a photo of the persona's face.
Step 2: Determine the growth steps for your personas
After you've set up your personas, set up your growth steps and the behaviors you want them to target in taking the growth steps.
For example, if you have a video streaming service, the steps would be as follows
STEP3: Become a persona and think about growth inhibitors
Each persona is assigned a new persona and uses the app again, writing down the issues (growth barriers) for the growth steps on sticky notes.
Once the issues have been written down, each person presents their own issues with regard to the growth steps they felt were stopping the app from growing.
When sharing the issues, use the name of the persona and say something like, "From a certain point of view, I felt that... We recommend using the name of the persona and saying something like, "I feel that..." is an issue.
STEP4: Propose measures to eliminate obstacles to growth
Once the personas, growth steps and growth inhibitors are identified, the participants write down the measures to be taken against the inhibitors on different colored sticky notes, and present the proposed measures to each other in the same way as in STEP 3.
Key points for advancing the work
Growth impediments and policy proposals from a broader perspective through brainstorming
Since both the growth impediment and the proposed measures will be brainstorming, you should follow the following four principles to gather free input.
Focus on the quantity, not the quality of what you say
Not criticizing, welcoming crude ideas and eliciting freewheeling statements
If you have a good statement, combine and develop that idea
Do not make judgments or conclusions while brainstorming
2. Provide analytical figures on growth steps, if possible
If you have numerical data on the actual transition rates regarding the growth steps, it is recommended that you share it with the work participants so that they can share the more bottlenecked areas with you.
